Fires coloring the sky in orange

We have been having so much smoke and red sky here in the bay area, I can’t even comprehend how many trees have gone up in flames… so sad!

Living here with all the beautiful national parks and wildlife around it feels even more urgent to do something about Climate Change, as we are directly impacted by the wildfires all around. But that is not where it will stop. We are all in this together.

You can read more about why I feel trees are so import for our survival on this planet in a previous post.

Here is a recent article from One Tree Planted…
If you’ve tuned into the news recently, you’ve likely seen that forest fires are once again raging on the west coast of the United States. They have already consumed almost 3 million acres in California alone this year, with additional damage in Oregon, Washington, and surrounding states.

A combination of factors including climate change, drought, fuel load, and wind conditions are leading to a severe impact that will greatly affect landscapes, homes, and lives. It’s difficult to watch, especially when we have loved ones in the area. But we cannot accept these increasing catastrophes as normal, and we will continue doing all we can to support environmental restoration after such disasters.
