Its slowly taking shape….

and changing shape… still a few elements are missing but the basics are there… shadows and highlights in the face and hand, still a bit harsh and contrasting without the final layers and colors yet.

I wanted to capture the moment of nourishment, the spoon feeding I had watched when visiting my friends up north. It was such a magic moment for me, perhaps for no one else, and I am not even sure what it exactly is that fascinated me so much, the tenderness, the care, the devotion, the patience, the love….

At the same time I was reflecting on old age and how the same scenario oftentimes happens the other way around. Love and loving! Taking care of each other.
