The lovely art that is Claudia’s paintings
I am the proud owner of 2 of Claudia’s artworks; one is a smaller print of a large canvas, and the second is a beautiful large painting that I commissioned. I get such delight daily by looking and enjoying these pieces which I love. The large canvas, which is a portrait, is such a beautiful reproduction because it is so lifelike, accurate, and painterly. It captures the essence of this great person, and I feel as if he is present in my room.
I was thinking “why do I like Claudia’s works so much?”, and aside from her technical skill and sensitivity, I discovered that it felt like she was painting as I wish I would be able to paint. Or to put it another way; if I could paint as if I had the ideal skill and vision and could deliver what I could imagine–that is what Claudia brings to the canvas for me. Having dabbled with painting for a number of years I realize how difficult it is to get that level of expressiveness and beauty in a work of art. So I appreciate what she does, like an extension of myself or my fantasy of what I’d like to produce. For the commission, we talked, she listened to my ideas, we selected a picture and I left the rest up to her.
