As an indirect result of my study of the 12 Kalis, and perhaps the current circumstances in the world at large, I found myself drawn towards painting Kali standing on Shiva with the surroundings slightly modernized to the current situations…

    In this depiction of Kālī ; she had placed her right foot on Shiva. In this posture she is worshipped as Dakhshina Kāli. There are other versions depending on
    which foot she has placed on which part of Shiva’s body.
