Burned Angel
This is one of the paintings that basically just appeared in front of my eyes as I kept painting. I love those moments. They make me feel as if something from way deep down is emerging that could have never emerged if I had an idea already in my head. They are much more interesting to me as I am oftentimes learning something new about myself. With this one, I think the message is a universal one about life. Good and bad forces dancing with us while we struggle with what we have, broken wings, burned, and all.
A mysterious dance between a (peace) dove and an angel (with burned wings). While a darker figure below is reaching out to the angel who has one of his feathers detached from it. Or is that the feather from the dove?
There is a real feather embedded in the painting but it’s not that feather 😉
There is lightness and movement in the painting, like a dance of good and bad (?). While the angel seems rather static and stuck and not quite able to take off. Pulled down by the figure below and detached from one of his most beautiful feathers and burned on the edges as if he got too close to the fire.

Claudia, that’s really a such harmonic painting artwork. Amazing.
