“Cycle of life” earth mother/girl/embryo

This painting is about the cycle of life, earth, mother, feminine energy, shakti and how we are nourished and nurtured by her. She is made up of 5 elements (earth, water, fire, air, ether).

Although she sometimes gets depicted as an icon or a statue in her prime of life, she is actually existing in every stage of life (unborn to death). She is firmly rooted in many ways, and spreading her bounty abundantly.

While painting I was reflecting on all the beautiful ways a mother nourishes and gives us the capacity to love thru all the stages in our life, from when we are born even to when she gets old and needs our help. Even then we are still nourished by our love for her as it reflects back to us. Even if we didn’t grow up with a loving mother, the energy of loving and nurturing is still existing in us, although it might take us a while to recognize it.

I would like this painting to be a reminder of the feminine energy in all of us and how we all carry this energy inside us no matter if we are man or women, mother or not, aware of it or not.

  • Hi Claudia
I looked up your name on Google because I very much liked the painting you did which George showed yesterday during the zoom. I very much like your work. I’m also a painter but have not done much recently….hoping to reconnect to it.
I will add that George looks so well. Very relaxed and happy. India agrees with you !! Hope you are painting there too
    All best wishes

    • Hi Eliza,
Thank you for taking the time to check out my website and thanks for liking my paintings and artwork. I am at the moment painting digitally but also occasionally do some doodling on paper just for fun. I have read your comment to George and he sends his greetings to you. He loves Kashmir!
      All the best,
      Claudia

I like to hear from you
