Claudia Dose, Bio . . .

Born in Bremen, Germany.
I have been painting for as long as I remember. Exploring the world equipped with a self bound sketchbook and a stump of pencil in my pocket.

My passion for art brought me to study Art and Design at the universities of Hamburg and Hannover, were I received an BA in Design but continued my studies further in painting and drawing classes.
Influenced by painters like Klee and Matisse, I developed a love for vibrant colors and yet subtle structures and deep inner meaning. My fascination for texture and depth comes from my experience and background in textile.

Being torn between the abstract and the realistic I find it an opportunity to consolidate my inner and my outer worlds similar to my spiritual search. My journey has just begun.

My work for a non-profit organization led me to the United States, where I live since 2000. As a professional artist my paintings and collages reflect my spiritual insights and contemplations inspired by my spiritual journey.

My paintings are in private collections all over the world. I have finished numerous commissions for private and commercial customers.
